Dear Prospective Bride and Groom,
Dave and I just wanted to drop you a quick note to relay our experience with the nice folk at Oceanwoods Resort. I'll start by saying it was absolutely the best experience you could ever imagine.
We researched several venues prior to deciding we wanted a small "down home" feel to our wedding experience since we both live in one of the 20 largest cities in the USA. We loved the proximity to the beach and the warm reception we received from the owners of the resort right from the very beginning. That wonderful experience extended from the owners all the way to the housekeepers on staff. Our room was wonderful and we couldn't ask for a thing because it was provided before we could even ask. The inn itself gave us a warm comforting feeling from the very first moment we set foot inside. As for the chef, well how do you describe perfection? We picked the perfect menu and I know that to be the case because many of our guests told us several times.
Normally I would try to be a bit more critical regarding a review but when you have such a wonderful experience, it's difficult to find anything critical to say. Somehow, they even had a connection (maybe, maybe not) that allowed the sun to shine during our wedding even though there was rain most of the rest of the day. In all seriousness, I just hope all the same personnel and the same venue is there when we're ready to celebrate our 25th anniversary.

To prospective bride,
I really can't say enough good things about the experience that my husband, George, and I had in having our wedding at the resort last summer and in working with Kathleen and Peter. They are truly THE BEST! They're both so kind, accommodating, thoughtful, organized, professional and really just a pleasure to work with. My family has had a cottage on Goose Rocks Beach for almost 50 years, so I've been going there all of my life and have always wanted to get married there. George has grown to love it there as much as I do, so when it came to picking a location for the wedding, it was definitely easy for us to choose Ocean Woods. And I was SO VERY pleased to find that Kathleen and Peter carefully made all of our wedding-day dreams come true =) The spot itself is beautiful and there are SO many great places to take pictures. The tent for our reception was lovely, complete with lights and other summer-themed touches. The staff members were completely dedicated to preparing everything according to our requests and made everything look even prettier than we had anticipated. The food was delicious, the rooms were great, the dance floor was big enough and all of our family and friends had a great time. Ocean Woods gives such a cozy, intimate feel, and also offers a good amount of space at the same time. We basically filled up the entire inn with our guests and even reserved one of the apartments for an afterparty once the reception had ended. The bar upstairs is nice for that, too. So if you're looking for a relaxed, summery, fun wedding, Ocean Woods is definitely your place. You really can't find anyone better than Kathleen and Peter to help you plan your special day.

Dear Prospective Bride,
In September 2009 our son was married at Ocean Woods Resort. We were asked by our daughter-in-law to check out the resort with her. We were met by Kathleen and found her to be very pleasant to talk to. She was very helpful in suggesting ideas for the food to be served. Since we were having the rehearsal dinner and the wedding meal we did not want similar meals to be served. Kathleen suggested that we could have a Turkey Dinner for the rehearsal meal and we agreed since it was the beginning of the fall season. The buffet meal for 40 guest was wonderful the food was absolutely delicious and everyone enjoyed the meal. The table set up and service to our guest was professionally done. The Wedding Dinner was also a buffet meal the choice was Baked Haddock and the other choice was Chicken, the meal was wonderful the guest loved it. The food was prepared professionally and delicious once again. Working in Foodservice myself the things that I look for in food service are cleanliness, presentation, Food Temperature when served and pleasant service. Ocean Woods staff met all our expectations and more. I highly recommend Ocean Woods Resort as a wonderful wedding day experience.
